New DVD "Live Execution '99" (June 04th 2010).

Re-release on DVD of the VHS tape "Live Execution '99" from German EBM/electro legends Funker Vogt. This release is especially for those fans who are always asking for this particular video to be made available on DVD. So here they get the original material, according to the standards of that time. The recordings are over ten years old, and so don't expect something like "Warzone K17", but more a historic document.

However, tons of bonus material has also been added, including even older footage, such as recordings from the Zillo Festival in Hildesheim in 1998, which later turned into the festival that is well-known today as M'Era Luna. Despite the age of the film material, the quality is still good and we believe fans will appreciate it! As a special bonus, the DVD also includes the long deleted Funker Vogt Remix CD "t"! All tracks have been digitally remastered.

Funker Vogt Warzone K17 DVD/DCD

Who would have thought back in 1995 that FUNKER VOGT, originally a side project of Hameln-based band RAVENOUS, would go on in record time to become one of Germany's the most popular electronic acts?

Despite the frequently provocative themes of their lyrics - war and the military - which consciously irritate and disturb, their fan community has been growing continuously. Even early releases, such as "Thanks For Nothing" and "Tragic Hero", soon became EBM classics, and the duo consisting of Gerrit Thomas (keyboards) and Jens Kästel (vocals) has been complemented by Björn Böttcher (keyboards), Frank Schweigert (guitar) und Thomas Kroll (guitar) at the band's increasingly sophisticated live shows. Most recently, since the arrival of their last two studio albums, "Navigator" and "Aviator", it has become quite apparent that FUNKER VOGT have become a force to be reckoned with on the electro scene - unwavering, indestructible and, above all, unmistakable.

So, a live retrospective of their creative oeuvre is long overdue. Recorded on 26 April 2008 at Berlin's K17, this double CD features a full concert consisting of all 22 hits from the past 12 years - a concert that was as raw, dynamic, and unvarnished as we've come to know FUNKER VOGT. These are all original recordings, with nothing ironed out or added in the studio. When it came to the mix, the emphasis was placed on the live atmosphere, so for the first time, the familiar FUNKER VOGT hits are presented the way we've known and loved them for years.

Thomas Kroll is back

Thomas Kroll back into Funker Vogt + announcement 'Warzone K17 - Live in Berlin' live DVD/2CD
After 5 years of absence Thomas Kroll is back again on guitars for Funker Vogt since Frank Schweigert has other job-related engagements. Kroll will be playing live for the very first time during the band's gig in Hannover (Capitol) on the 26th of December 2008. Kroll left the band in 2003 after 5 years playing with Funker Vogt. Kroll had been part of the live band since the "4. Leipziger Sommertagen" that took place on July 3rd 1998. His last concert with the band was in Italy on November 22nd 2003. The reason for the split was to be found in a mix of musical and personal differences with the rest of the band and management. That seems all to be past tense now. The band is currently also preparing a new album and will enter their (new) studio later this year.

On the 14th of November 2008 Funker Vogt will give you a foretaste of the double dvd and double cd "Warzone K17 - Live in Berlin", which is going to be released in spring 2009. There will be an online release of the MCD "White Trash - K 17 Live Excerpt" which includes also the in 2008 re-arranged Versions of "Thanks for Nothing" and "Blacke Hole". Here's a EPK for the DVD.

Aviator out April 27th!!!

Pre-order it at MusicNonStop.co.uk now!!

Little over a year since Funker Vogt's last release ( "Navigator" ), they are back in the cockpit with their follow-up full length album "Aviator". Again conceptualising their war-obsessed themes ( throughout the cover artwork, booklet and band photos ) "Aviator" follows the new direction began with "Navigator" with 12 Brand New tracks set to pulvarise and bombard the dance-floor.

Undertaking to diversify sound structures overall "Aviator" still relies on the fast beat-driven rhythms and sequences Funker Vogt are renown for but these are further enhanced with more emphasis given to well placed sounds and samples making "Aviator" a much more pronounced album. "Aviator's" club tracks ( "City Of Darkness" , "Paralyzed", "Thanatophobia", "One" and "My Fortune" ) come across as fresher and more aggressive than ever cementing Funker Vogt's updated Electro sound for 2007.

Funker Vogt will do various specials around the release of the new album 'Aviator'. They have put a fan edit of ''City of Darkness'' online as mp3. This is a special item for their old and new fans, released in cooperation with Germany's Zillo music magazine and SPV-Recoreds: "City Of Darkness" (special fan edit)

Funker Vogt goes PC GAMES

Funker Vogt's sixth and current studio album "Navigator" makes now - without knowing once - the headstone for the co-operation with the publisher of computer- and videogames TGC (The Games Company) and their current Game "World War I - Tench Warefare In Europe". In addition a statement of Funker Vogt: The game-forger contacted us quiet rapid and asked, if we'd been interested in a collaboration to this new game. After making the contact had to be considered what this collaboration should look like. Then we had the idea to attach a complete Single-CD to this game. The Track "Killing Ground" of our current album "Navigator" has always been a nominee for a second single, and as it fits to the theme of the game, it was a decided concern. As bonus, we took an earlier version of a new track, which will be on the next Funker Vogt album. Thus we also gave a view to the comming album, which shall be released in the first half of 2007.

But the single "Killing Ground" is exclusive of the game.
01. Killing Ground (Grabenkrieg Remix) 4:59
02. Killing Ground (Album Version) 5:36
03. Killing Ground (AE4 Remix) 4:57
04. Paralyzed (First Edit) 5:27

Press release:
TGC is taking radio contact
Berlins Publisher cooperates with electro / EBM band Funker Vogt

Berlin in October 2006

For their 'strategy-title' "World War I - Trench Warfare In Europe", TGC are working together with the electronicband Funker Vogt. Thus the sales version of this game goes along with a limited retro-vinyl-style CD, which - amongst others - includes the special "Grabenkrieg Remix" (engl. trench warfare remix) of "Killing Ground".

"Killing Ground" descends in it's primal version of the sixth album "Navigator". To shorten the time of waiting on the new - still untitled - album, Funker Vogt enrich the limited Grabenkrieg single-CD with the song "Paralyzed", an exclusive fulltime advanced version.

For the lunch of the official homepage of "WWI - Trench Warfare In Europe" TGC and Funker Vogt furthermore release an exclusive backcover artwork for all fans of game and music. Signed CDs and first-class merchandise of this international combo are at choosen copartners disposal. "Funker Vogt brought the perfect soundtrack for World War I", Carsten Strehse inspired, CEO of TGC (The Games Company). "The band criticly deals up with the theme war and construes history in their music unbelievable strong."

To TGC - The Games Company:

TGC was found in January 2006 by Markus Malti and Carsten Strehse in Berlin. With Silver Style Entertainment TGC go along with an adept partner, who's not just realising proprietary development but also assignmentproductions and offers also consolidated quality management. TGC plans about 20 new releases per year. Middle-term the parts console and online will get a higher denotation; The publisher lays his main focus on adventures and rolegames, strategy and simulation.

To Funker Vogt:

The band was found in 1995 and comes from the north saxon city Hameln. The actual "Funker Vogt" (engl. radio operator Vogt) is a friend, who's really been radio operator in the German Federal Armed Forces at that time. This name became trend-setting for the bands concept: Military - War. Within a short time Funker Vogt reached the top of the german as well as international electro-scene, and ever since they defended this top in the following years. The phenomenon Funker Vogt is not limited to germany, meanwhile Funker Vogt world-wide became the epitome for hard electronic music. As central topic war and social unfainess came forth out crystallized over the years in their releases, whereby the band deals up with this very critically
